Free Internet Resources

  • Education Place Maths is a K-6 maths programme which can be done on-line and, best of all, it's free!
  • Free home-schoolers website with games to play, topics to write about, and general knowledge quizzes to rack your brains! Updated weekly. www.funfitnesslearning.com
  • There is another free online math page at www.smartkiddies.com - they have print outs as well as online test that can be marked online and if the child gets over a certain amount right you then can print out a certificate
  • MathsGoGoGo have released the following two booklets for general use:
    Mathematics at home. A document describing many activities your children can engage in at home to boost their mathematical understanding and knowledge.
    Metrication. How using metric units in your everyday life can help your children understand that we live in a metric world (not an imperial one as many people would have you believe) and hence build their confidence with mathematics.

Beverley Paine is committed to supporting home educating parents who practice non-violent and attachment parenting.
Since 1989 she has worked towards the goal of establishment of consistent and transparent guidelines and regulations for the provision of home education, including being a member of a legislative review panel considering home schooling in South Australia.
Her approach is inclusive and seeks to build bridges between disparate groups.
Her desire is to help families grow towards enlightened parenting and educational practices that respect and honour the individual learning and developmental needs of all children.

She has worked with teachers and bureaucrats in schools for improvements in school education as well as with teachers, bureaucrats and home educators for improvements in the provision of home education.
