The Power of Affirmations as Learning Invocations © Beverley Paine, 2005 Over the years I've found 'affirmations' a powerful aid in achieving my goals. They help to reprogram my brain and cement new attitudes and thoughts firmly into place. I like to personalise affirmations and to print them out on cards that I can carry with me, or prop up on my desk where I will see them daily. They'd make great fridge magnets too, only we don't have a fridge! Here are my favourite 'learning invocations'. I like to read this list over and over again for a few minutes until it feels imprinted in my brain. The up-lifting positive energy it they invoke seems to last several days. One of my favourite ways to work with affirmations is to set them to a memorable tune, and then sing them at the top of my voice when I'm alone in the car!
